Pilot phase
 

The pilot phase will support a select number of projects of national significance. You need to explain how your project meets the eligibility criteria and show:

  • you have a strong interest in receiving the pilot service offering
  • your project faces a clear regulatory challenge
  • your project presents an opportunity for the Investor Front Door to test, develop and refine its service offering.

Project criteria

Potential to deliver transformational opportunities to Australia

Your project must:

  • have an estimated capital expenditure above $50 million
  • align with the Australian Government’s strategic priorities
  • be a genuine, unique or innovative opportunity.

Reasonable prospect of success

Your project will:

  • have a well developed and viable business case
  • be able to show you have the skills and resources to deliver.

Benefit from using the Investor Front Door

Your project will:

  • identify specific challenges where the Investor Front Door can help
  • explain how your proposal is expected to benefit Australia
  • list the other options you have looked at and/or tried to move your project forward.

Communication

Once you complete our contact form, we’ll get in touch to see if your project is a good fit.

If suitable, we’ll ask you to complete an expression of interest form.

Decision outcome

The Australian Government will assess if your project qualifies for support from the Investor Front Door during the pilot phase.

If your project is identified to be a nationally significant project and selected for participation in the pilot phase, we’ll let you know and start working with you.
